Simple Scrapbooking. . .

The thing I love about Close To My heart is how easy it is to use their products. I loooove the Workshops on the Go kits!!! They are the first things that I purchase when the new Idea Book comes out. I love being able to grab the bag and create a fantastic project without any hassle.

Each kit has a little bit of stamping, dimensional elements, and teaches a new technique.

This is the Stella WOTG kit. It looks slightly different than the directions, but that is the cool thing about these kits. You can change them up a bit to make them fit your pictures and then you have a layout that is uniquely yours!!!

If you are interested in joining one of my clubs and working on these amazing kits together, please contact me! Happy Crafting!

Memory Lane. . .

Perhaps one of the things I like most about scrapbooking is reliving the memories. I know some people try to keep up with recent events, and try to get it all in while it is still fresh, but there is just something about spending an hour or so focusing in on a very special past memory.

This was Morgan the very day she turned 4. She got to have a party with her pre-school class at Crosspoint and she absolutely had to have birthday hats! She is still kinda partial to birthday hats!

We got to drive by her old school while we were visiting SoCal this weekend. A lot of fun memories inside those walls!

I have enjoyed reliving every one and look forward to reliving them with her as she continues to grow right before my eyes.

Life Is Good.

Fall Edition of Crafty Wednesday. . .

For this week's layouts I once again found myself with pictures from Morgan's second year. . .

She was (ok, and still is) such a sweet little thing. . .

When she was just over two my good friend decided to be brave and have her as a flower girl.

She did way better than I thought she would. . .She loved every minute of it!

I started these cards by just pulling out two stamp sets and a bunch of different ink.

I stamped a lot of leaves. . . more than I could use, but they were so fun!

And so pretty. . .and so easy. . .

I then just left them on my table for a few days and kept rearranging them as I walked by. . .

I then added fall paper and stamped/embossed sentiments. . .

I like this on the best. . . do you have a favorite?

Sweet Treats and Monsters. . .

This layout is done with last years "Hooligans" paper packet from Close To My Heart. I love it when you find papers that perfectly match your pictures. . .or pictures that perfectly match your papers. . .
I do things backwards like that. . .

I love Prisma glitter. I used a glue pen to go over my stamp and my accent strip
and then sprinkled on the glitter. . . Boo

I love these little sparkly monsters!

And here is this week's card. . .I need to find someone worthy of this sweet little card. . .

PS. If your are interested in any of the supplies used to make these or any of my previously featured layouts or cards feel free to contact me or click on the link at the top of the page. . .

Next installment on Crafty Wednesday

These pictures are of a trip my mom and I took with the kids to Crossville, TN.
We had just packed up all of our belongings and driven cross country. Wayne went back to CA.
I had then spent two weeks trying to fit all of our stuff into various corners of various houses. . .

This Mama desperately needed a break!

It was a fun week of just being lazy, going to the pool or the lake and the playground.
We did drive to Chattanooga one day and went to the Children's Museum and the Aquarium.
It was such a nice time. I would love to go again.

And now a few cards. . .

The thread bow and balloon stings on this birthday card were not even a little bit easy to do,
but I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Wednesday

Hey folks. . .time for another crafty installment. . .

F.Y.I. I don't plan on always posting scrapbook pages and cards.
This is just what I am into right now. . .not to mention all that I have the space for. . .
my work environment leaves a little to be desired. . .

Well, ok, a lot to be desired!

Soon. . .oh, so very soon. . .

This layout is from a trip to the WV Pumpkin Festival last year with my mom, her friend, and my sister with her four kids (overachiever). . . I would like to give my sister a special thanks for having children with hair that coordinates so well with my color scheme. . .

This card is self explanatory. . . Thanks. . .

Until next week. . .

Getting caught up. . .

For those of you who know me, you know that I am a crafty kinda girl. . . crafty, as in making things, not crafty as in evil, "Like the fru-its of the De-vil"  (can you name that movie?). . .glad we could clear that up. . . anyway, I have been working on some random scrapbook pages in all of my free time. . .huh? What is free time, you say? It comes from living in 900sq feet, three total rooms, two bathrooms and no TV. Yeah, you heard me. We ain't got no cable. . . The result is free time to read and craft, and I am trying to enjoy it whilst I can. . . before the farm chores set in. Well, I finally collected enough of my crafty stuff to finish up a couple of pages. Here they are for your viewing pleasure!

An Easter layout that I started in April. . .only took me 7 months to finish. . .that's good, right? Right?

Andrew's first birthday part. I have pretty much abandoned the idea of scrapbooking chronologically at this point in time. I just find paper and a design that I like, then find pictures I like with it. In Andrew's scrapbook I took my hiatus just after his delivery . . .

Pictures from last fall ant my mom's. If only we knew that she was going to be a real farm girl!!!

These pictures are from when Morgan was 3 1/2. . . she was (and is) way too cute for words!

So there you have it. I will try and keep posting things as I make them. Hopefully it will inspire someone to turn off the TV and pick up some scissors!

PS. I am well aware that I need better lighting. Thanks.
